Transamerican Bicycle Trail Northern Route

We have been asked to put an outline of our intended route on the blog.    Obviously we may detour from this route for a variety of reasons. . .  Some of these are more than one day apart. . .but it will give you an idea.  We hope for 50 miles/day average--with one day off each week.

Departure from our home:  Thursday, May 17--to Detroit Lake, OR;  Sisters, OR;  Prineville, OR;  John Day, OR;  Baker City, OR;  Oxbow, OR (Hell's Canyon);  Council, ID,  Pollock, ID,  Grangeville, ID;  Lowell, ID.  Lolo Hot Springs, ID.  Missoula, MT.  (We estimate 16 days to Missoula).

Polson, MT;  Whitefish, MT;  West Glacier, MT;  Essex, MT.  East Glacier, MT;  Cut Bank, MT;  Chester, MT;  Havre, MT  Malta, MT;  Glassgow, MT;  Wolf Point, MT;  Circle, MT;  Glendive, MT;  Dickenson, ND;  Bismark, ND;  Litchville, ND;  Fargo, ND.

Dalbo, MN;  Osceola, MN;  Minneapolis, MN;  Stillwater, MN;  Kellogg, MN;  Winona, MN;  Lansing, Iowa;  Muscatine, Iowa.  Cambridge, Illinois;  Odell, Illinois;  Rensselaer, Indiana, Tippicanoe River, IN; Monroeville, IN.  Bowling Green, OH;  Cleveland, OH;  Erie, Pennsylvania;  Orchard Park, NY.  Cooperstown, NY.  Albany, NY.  Pittsfield, MA;  Salem, Massachusetts. Boston, MA (Destination:  comfort!)  We have a flight booked Aug 29--we hope to arrive in time to see a Boston Red Sox.
