Day 29: Wolf Point to Circle, MT. 53 miles

UhWindy! That describes our ride today.  The first 5 miles we had it as a tailwind. Then we turned south and the wind was a side wind.  We actally had to lean into the wind to keep upright.  Then we would have gusts even stronger.  Plus most of the day was rolling hills. The picture with Ron and his coat is showing the wind.

Ron said he was afraid to eat lunch, because the wind would blow the peanut butter off the bread!!  We spoke to a local man and asked if it was windy all the time, he said only 90%.  So far this was the hardest ride yet.

The good news is we turn east again tomorrow so the wind may be at our backs.  Glendive is our goal tomorrow.  We are in the only hotel in town rather than risk losing our tent in the wind.

Fun but not so funny, peanut butter blowing off the bread sounds pretty strong for riding in! I will continue to pray for safe travels and suitable weather for you. With Glendive as your destination for Friday night... North Dakota here you come wow!
