Day 57: Rensselaer to Buffalo, Indiana. 32 miles.

We waited until after both post office delivery trucks had arrived here which was after 10:30 am.  No part arrived. So we loaded up and started riding. We knew we would be riding in the heat so we only planned a short days ride. We must comment how helpful the men at the Superior Sales bike shop were (including loaning us a car). Larry at Scotts Cycle in Salem is also being very helpful trying to get us the part we need.

When we checked out of the B & B the owner menti Pooned they had a cabin in Buffalo, our destination for the day. I asked if she wanted to rent it to us for a night. The only other option was camping.  She checked with her husband and they invited us to be their guest for the night. So because of the "kindness of strangers" we have an evening in a beautiful log home in Indiana.  The "cabin" is in the picture.

We are now in the eastern time zone. So we are 3 hrs ahead of the west coast. We turn our cell phone off when we go to bed so you will get voice mail if it is too late for us.

The large building in the picture is the Rensselaer court house, the definite center of the town of 5200+.  The bedroom is from our B & B last night.

When we get into Ohio there are lots of bike shops so we are still trying to get Rons repair. We will probably take a rest day then.

Will be praying for the bike repair.
